Ethicon Coated VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling, knot security and smooth tissue glide. Absorption occurs by hydrolysis, resulting in predictable tensile strength retention during the critical early phases of wound healing with minimal tissue reaction.
This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in a 250 cm (98 inch) non-needled Ligapak configuration, designed for ligation and soft tissue approximation procedures where a needle is not required. The extended length allows controlled ligature placement and efficient surgical workflow in general and specialist procedures.
