Shipping &
Delivery Policy

How professional products are processed, dispatched, tracked and delivered to PrecisionDermal business customers.

Standard delivery 3–5 working days Dispatch days Monday–Friday Last updated 9 August 2026
01

Business customers only

PrecisionDermal supplies and delivers goods strictly on a business-to-business basis.

By ordering, the customer confirms that it is acting wholly or mainly for purposes connected with its trade, business, craft or profession.

This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Consumer delivery rules do not apply to a genuine business purchase.

Nothing in this policy excludes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

02

Delivery services and timeframes

Standard UK delivery is normally 3–5 working days from dispatch unless a different service or lead time is shown at checkout, stated in a quotation or agreed in writing.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank and public holidays in the relevant dispatch and delivery locations.

A delivery estimate begins when the order is dispatched, not when the order is placed.

Next-day, timed, weekend and other premium services apply only where offered, paid for and confirmed.

A premium service relates to the courier service after dispatch and does not override a stated product lead time.

Time is not of the essence unless a specific delivery deadline is expressly accepted in writing by an authorised PrecisionDermal representative.

03

Order processing and dispatch

Orders are processed during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Orders received outside those hours are normally reviewed on the next working day.

Dispatch depends on:

  • Payment clearance or credit approval;
  • Product availability;
  • Professional or regulatory verification;
  • Completion of information reasonably required to fulfil the order.

Stock descriptions and dispatch estimates are provided in good faith.

Special-order, supplier-direct, personalised, imported, temperature-controlled or regulated goods may have longer lead times. We will communicate a material known delay.

A dispatch notification does not necessarily mean that every item in a split order has been dispatched.

The notification or tracking record will identify the relevant consignment where possible.

04

Shipping charges

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout, stated in our quotation or agreed before dispatch.

Charges may depend on:

  • Destination;
  • Weight and dimensions;
  • Consignment value;
  • Selected service level;
  • Hazardous classification;
  • Temperature requirements;
  • The number of consignments.

If checkout produces an obvious shipping error or cannot calculate a specialist service, we will contact the customer before accepting the affected order.

The customer may accept the corrected charge or cancel the affected goods before acceptance.

Additional charges reasonably caused by incorrect address details, refusal, restricted access, storage, customs non-compliance or repeated delivery attempts may be charged to the customer.

05

Delivery address and instructions

The customer is responsible for providing:

  • A complete and accurate business delivery address and postcode;
  • A valid recipient name, telephone number and email address;
  • Accurate opening hours and access or security information;
  • Any loading restrictions or specialist receiving requirements;
  • A lawful and suitable safe-place instruction, where one is requested.

An address change is effective only when confirmed by us before dispatch.

For fraud-prevention reasons, we may require verification and may refuse to redirect a paid order to an unrelated address.

We are not responsible for a delivery failure caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer. We will provide reasonable assistance where practicable.

06

Couriers, tracking and delivery management

We use independent courier, postal, freight and fulfilment providers.

We may select or change the carrier or service where reasonably necessary, provided the replacement is materially suitable for the goods and destination.

Tracking information will be supplied where available. Tracking scans and estimated arrival windows are generated by the carrier and may change during transit.

The customer should use the carrier’s tracking service and promptly respond to requests concerning access, customs, duties or delivery arrangements.

Contacting the courier does not replace the requirement to notify PrecisionDermal of a loss, damage or shortage claim.

07

Risk, title and shipping insurance

Where PrecisionDermal arranges delivery, risk of accidental loss or damage passes to the customer when delivery is completed at the agreed address or in accordance with an authorised delivery instruction.

Where the customer collects goods or appoints its own carrier, risk passes when the goods are handed to the customer or that carrier.

The customer is then responsible for the suitability, insurance and conduct of its chosen carrier.

Ownership is separate from risk. Title remains with PrecisionDermal until payment has been received as stated in our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

We will use commercially appropriate carrier services for deliveries we arrange.

Enhanced insurance, declared-value cover or a specialist service must be requested before acceptance and may incur an additional charge.

Carrier exclusions and limits may apply, but they do not remove liability that we cannot lawfully exclude.

08

Completion and proof of delivery

Delivery may be evidenced by one or more of the following:

  • A recipient’s signature or recorded name;
  • A time-stamped delivery scan;
  • A delivery photograph;
  • GPS or geolocation confirmation;
  • Reception, loading-bay, mailroom or safe-place acceptance;
  • Other reliable carrier records.

Courier evidence will be treated as initial evidence of delivery, not automatically as conclusive proof.

We will consider reliable contrary evidence supplied promptly by the customer and may ask the courier to investigate.

A person present at the delivery address may be treated as authorised to accept ordinary business deliveries unless the customer gave us a specific restriction before dispatch and we confirmed that it could be accommodated.

09

Missed, refused and failed deliveries

If delivery fails because the premises are closed, access is unavailable, the address is incorrect, the recipient refuses the consignment or another customer-related issue occurs, the courier may:

  • Attempt redelivery;
  • Hold the goods at a local depot;
  • Return the goods to PrecisionDermal.

The customer is responsible for reasonable redelivery, return, storage and handling charges caused by a customer-related failure.

We may require those charges to be paid before resending the order.

Refusal or failure to accept delivery does not cancel the contract or remove the obligation to pay.

If safe, traceable resale is not possible, including for sterile, perishable, temperature-sensitive or special-order goods, the full price may remain payable.

10

Delivery delays

Delays may result from:

  • Courier congestion or transport failure;
  • Supply shortages;
  • Customs clearance;
  • Severe weather;
  • Industrial action;
  • Regulatory intervention;
  • Public emergencies;
  • Incorrect customer information;
  • Other events outside our reasonable control.

We will take reasonable steps to obtain information, assist with carrier enquiries and arrange a practical solution.

A delay does not automatically entitle the customer to cancel goods already dispatched.

If an undelivered order is materially delayed, the remedies available will depend on the cause, the contract and whether performance remains possible.

Nothing prevents a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Customers should maintain suitable stock levels for critical use and must not book procedures solely in reliance on an estimated delivery date.

11

Partial shipments and back orders

We may dispatch available goods separately from back-ordered or special-order items.

Each parcel may have its own tracking number and arrival date.

We will not charge duplicated standard shipping solely because we choose to split a UK order, unless the customer requested separate delivery or additional charges were agreed.

Specialist, international or direct-from-supplier consignments may be priced separately.

A delay affecting one instalment does not permit rejection of another correctly delivered instalment unless the delay substantially deprives the customer of the benefit of the whole contract.

12

Lost, damaged, missing or incorrect goods

Inspect the outer packaging, seals, quantities and visible condition as soon as reasonably possible.

If serious transit damage is visible, record it with the courier where practicable and do not use affected clinical goods.

Visible damage or shortage Notify us within two working days of delivery.
Tracking says delivered but goods are missing Notify us promptly after checking the premises and authorised recipients.
Concealed or safety-related issue Stop use and notify us promptly after discovery.

A report should include:

  • The order or invoice number;
  • Product references, quantities, batch or lot numbers and expiry dates;
  • Photographs of the shipping label, outer box, internal packaging and goods;
  • A clear description of what is damaged, missing or incorrect.

Keep all packaging and goods until we confirm whether collection, inspection or a carrier investigation is required.

Reporting periods preserve courier evidence but do not remove rights concerning a defect that could not reasonably have been found sooner.

13

International shipping, customs and import costs

International delivery is available only where quoted or accepted by us and where the goods may lawfully be supplied to the destination.

Delivery times exclude customs clearance and are not guaranteed.

The quotation or order confirmation may identify an applicable Incoterm or specific division of customs responsibility.

Unless we expressly agree to deliver duties paid, the customer is responsible for:

  • Acting as importer of record;
  • Destination-country duties;
  • Import VAT and other taxes;
  • Required licences and registrations;
  • Customs clearance and administration fees;
  • Local product and regulatory compliance.

We will provide commercially reasonable export documents based on information available to us.

The customer must provide accurate importer information and promptly respond to customs or courier requests.

If goods are returned, destroyed or held because the customer fails to complete import formalities or pay charges, the customer is responsible for the resulting reasonable freight, storage, disposal, duty and handling costs.

Refund entitlement will depend on whether the goods are safely recoverable and resalable.

14

Restricted, regulated and temperature-sensitive goods

Some products may be restricted by carrier rules, export controls, medical-device rules, medicines legislation, hazardous-goods requirements or destination-country law.

We may refuse, suspend or change a shipping method where necessary for lawful and safe delivery.

Temperature-controlled, refrigerated, hazardous or specialist goods will only use an appropriate service where expressly agreed.

The customer must be available to receive and immediately store those goods according to manufacturer instructions.

A customer must not request ordinary shipping where it knows or should know that specialist transport is required.

Any delivery restriction or licence requirement known to the customer must be disclosed before ordering.

15

Customer collections

Collection is available only when expressly arranged and confirmed.

The customer must not attend the warehouse until it receives confirmation that the order is ready.

We may request order identification, collection authority and proof of identity.

The customer is responsible for providing a suitable vehicle, equipment and lawful transport conditions.

Delivery is completed and risk passes when the goods are handed to the customer or its nominated carrier.

Failure to collect within the agreed period may result in reasonable storage, rebooking or restocking charges, subject to the nature of the goods and our written agreement.

16

Liability relating to shipping

Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to those exceptions and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, anticipated savings, appointments or procedures arising from a delivery delay or failure.

We are not liable to the extent that a loss is caused by:

  • Inaccurate customer information;
  • Failure to accept delivery;
  • Failure to complete customs requirements;
  • Unsuitable storage after delivery;
  • A customer-appointed carrier;
  • Failure to take reasonable steps to reduce loss.

Other liability limits and exclusions are stated in our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Any restriction applies only to the extent that it is lawful and reasonable.
