Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, providing dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 5-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 75 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 17 mm Tapercut needle with a 3/8 circle curvature. The Tapercut needle combines a tapered body with a cutting tip, allowing controlled penetration and accurate placement when closing delicate or moderately fibrous tissues.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses. The braided structure ensures excellent handling and secure knot performance. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
